AGES
An age said
“This is good.
“That is bad.
“I am good
“Because I’m not bad.”
The next age looked
And deemed the good bad
Reaching back to redefine it
And labelled itself good
That once was bad.
New ages flipped
The good and the bad
Back and forth
Redefining all
That had come before
Setting each age up
To be judged once more,
Flipping and flopping
Across the shoals
Of time’s lost lore.
Till all lines converged
At the end of the World
Good and Bad, blurred
Just some long lost words
Deemed
Dualistic,
Irrelevant,
Relativistic,
Rhetoric
And then ages shared
Building up one another
Exclusion words banished
Replaced…
…By…
…What…
…Just…
….Is….
