OLYVIANNA THE INCONTINENT OCTOPUS
Olyvianna had a problem
She always squirted ink
When she was with her friends
And then she would shrink
She’d hide far away
Far far and away
Worried about what
Her friends would say
When they were playing
Enjoying the laughter
Her ink would just squirt out
All that much faster
No matter how much
She wiggled and jiggled
A bit of black ink
Always got dribbled
She tried so hard
To hold it inside
But ink always came
And spread out so wide
One sunny day,
a shark came to play
“I want to eat you!”
He started to say
But Olyvianna inked
All over the place
She inked right into
The shark’s toothy face
She inked more than ever
She had ever inked before
Who knew she had so
Much ink in her store?
Her friends hid in it
To avoid shark troubles,
Holding their breath,
So as not to make bubbles
The shark couldn’t find them
Hiding in the dark
So he finally went away
To some other park
When they went home
To tell Mommy and Daddy
About how the shark
Was such a big baddy
Olyvianna didn’t leak
All over the place
No, not one little drop
Not even a trace!
Letting it out
When actually needed
Helped to stop inkage
When fear had receded
