IMPRINT
She made no imprint
On the sand,
As she walked,
But the air shimmered
In her presence.
Others gravitated toward her,
In unconscious waves,
Just to be near
The pin-point presence
Of the bright center
Of her being.
Her eyes, as they
Connected with mine,
Completed my life-long
Search for purpose.
“I am here for you”, I whispered.
“I am here because of you”, a little louder.
“I am you…”, with confidence,
As I stepped up
And merged
And became
One.
“I am…”,
Once again,
Whispered,
In awe….
And I…we…I….
Looked out at those
Still washing ashore
On the waves of our being.
With love, and total acceptance,
We radiated joy out
To all who came
To bask in our light.
“Look toward yourselves”,
We spoke.
“You lay within…
“You are your center…
“You are the answer…
“To your own questing…
“You are your own light…”
And they wandered away,
In search of . . . .Themselves
