By actors who change
Persona for Pay.
I am valuable
Because
I can imitate the portrayed.

I am valuable
Because
I am predictable.
I wear stupidity like a badge.
I am the drum roll
After a punch line.
I am canned laughter
To fill the pause.
I am valuable
Because
I can parrot predictability.

I am valuable
Because
I am normal.
I stand for hours,
Take a stand for nothing,
Can’t stand anything,
And I don’t stand out.
I stand there,
Hiding,
Just under the biggest bulge
Of the curve.
I am valuable
Because
I fill the norm.

I am valuable
Because
I fit
Into other’s expectations.
Into other’s illusions.
Into other’s choreographed motions,
Them vs. Us,
Together
In the sense deprivation
Of sensationalist depravity.
I am valuable
Because
I can be fit
Where I am stuck.
